Modrić sent Ivan his 2018 Ballon d’Or so that the young athlete could take pictures with it and use it as inspiration to keep going on his recovery path. Luka gave Ivan a signed football shirt along with the Ballon d’Or. The act made everyone very happy, as you can see in the pictures that Ivan’s dad, Darijo, shared.

Ivan is a skilled player for NK Kurilovec. Earlier this year, he had a serious fall that changed his life. Ivan has been very brave and determined in his healing, even though there have been problems. Ivan’s thoughtful action not only made his day better, but it also gave him hope as he works hard to improve his body for robotic neurorehabilitation and physical therapy.

With constant support and actions like Modrić’s, Ivan’s strength and determination are sure to help him get better. With this performance, Luka Modrić has once again shown that his impact goes far beyond football, giving people hope and motivation.
