These days, football players don’t always give their job their all, and many of them have turned their hobbies into “side jobs.” Thibaut Courtois, the goalie for Real Madrid, is the most recent famous player to do this. He announced his own eSports organization earlier this week.
This week, TC Esports, which is run by Courtois, became a real company. The group will mostly be focused on virtual motorsports, which is one of the Belgian international’s hobbies in his free time. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he took part in a series of online races with Formula 1 drivers like Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris.
MD says that the 32-year-old has talked about the news.
“Having your own e-sports team has always been a dream of mine. Sim racing can also lead to real-life opportunities in motorsport, and TC Racing wants to bet on that too.”
The most important thing for Courtois will still be Real Madrid, but he will also be very focused on this project.
