Kylian Mbappe has now gone four games without scoring for Real Madrid. He didn’t score in their 4-0 win over Osasuna on Saturday.
The former leader of Paris Saint-Germain only had one shot go in, even though he played the whole game at the Bernabeu.
But Jude Bellingham scored the first goal of the season, and Vinicius Jr. scored a hat-trick to steal the show.
Vinicius has scored 12 goals in 17 games for Madrid so far this season, and Mbappe has scored 8 goals in 16.
In the 69th minute on Saturday, the Brazilian scored his fourth goal after receiving a pass from Brahim Diaz and slamming a shot past Sergio Herrera.
It was only eight yards to the left of Vinicius when the ball went into the goal, and some fans thought it was interesting how Mbappe reacted.
Vinicius ran to his right to celebrate with Diaz, but Mbappe didn’t look too happy. Mbappe didn’t go after Vinicius to make him feel good.
Afterward, though, Mbappe was seen giving his teammates high fives.
Regardless, a Madrid fan shared a six-second video of Vinicius getting his hat trick on X (formerly Twitter) with the message “Look closely at Mbappe.”
One fan answered, “Bro ain’t happy no more.” The first poster replied, “Bro might cause problems, to be honest.”
After that, a third fan said, “Vini isn’t letting him be the star.”
After losing at home to Barcelona and AC Milan in a row, Madrid came back strong in Saturday’s game.
Carlo Ancelotti’s team did not have all the good news, though. Three players had to be taken off in the first half because they were hurt.
Eder Militao, a star center back, tore his anterior cruciate ligament. Rodrygo and Lucas Vazquez also didn’t make it through the first 45 minutes.
When they left the field, Militao and Rodrygo were both seen in tears.
With this big win, Madrid is now only six points behind Barcelona in first place in La Liga after 12 rounds of games.
The current winners won’t play for 15 days because the top level of club football is taking a break for the international break.
Their next game is on November 24 away at Leganes. That’s three days before they play Liverpool in the Champions League.
