Real Madrid said that Éder Militão tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in the game against Osasuna. Militão also hurt both of the meniscuses in his right leg.
Militão was taken off the field on a bed in the 30th minute of Real Madrid’s La Liga game against Osasuna on Saturday. Raul Asencio, a product of Castilla, took his place. Even though Dani Carvajal and David Alaba are already out, this is a huge blow to Real Madrid’s defense.
For Real Madrid, this is Militão’s second torn ACL in as many years. In August 2023, he hurt his left knee for the first time against Athletic Bilbao. Militão wasn’t the only player who had to be replaced because of an injury against Osasuna. Rodrygo and Lucas Vázquez were also hurt and had to leave the game.
