Britain celebrated their 3-1 win over Italy at Wembley in style. Jude Bellingham, James Maddison, and Trent Alexander-Arnold all went out to have fun.
People saw the three of them at the Chiltern Firehouse after the win. Bellingham was the center of interest. Following Italy’s first goal, Harry Kane scored a penalty kick to tie the game. The 20-year-old won the chance. He also helped Marcus Rashford score in the second half.
Alexander-Arnold and Maddison, on the other hand, did not come on as replacements because they had already played. On Friday, England beat Australia 1-0 in a friendly. When England won, Bellingham, Maddison, and Alexander-Arnold went to the 5-star hotel to party. They then went back to play club football.
You can be sure that England will do “something special” in Germany next year now that they have a spot in the Euros. England lost to Italy on penalties to finish in second place at the last Euros.
As well as the young players, there is a great mix of experience that helps us through the game and the camps, and we believe we can do something great, Bellingham said after Tuesday’s game.
“But getting things done is the most important thing.” We have to be there, present, and ready to do the job when the time comes. We need to put all of these things together with what we know from the past and what we have in the locker room to be sure we win.
English boss Gareth Southgate said, “We have to accept what is expected of us.” We are one of the teams that really has a chance to win the Euros, and we’re okay with that. Our attitude, having skilled players, and being in good shape are the most important things. But we need to keep drawing big games like this one.
“We were cool and in charge of the game.” This group can do better. We knew this would be the hardest qualifying group based on the seeds. Some people believe we donβt beat the best teams enough. Still, we’ve done well.
“So thirsty, so eager to learn, and so close.” That would be on tonight’s show. We already said the most important thing was attitude. The show tonight never ended. We were proud of how well we used the ball after falling behind and how cool we were about it. We’ve lost the ball too many times in other big games.
Maddison wore a baseball cap that was backwards, and Alexander-Arnold wore a striped shirt over a plain white t-shirt. He was dressed in a black leather jacket. After the Glamour Women of the Year Awards, Emily Atack, who plays Emily on “The Inbetweeners,” also went out with the football stars.
