Arda Güler scored the game-winning goal as Turkey beat Iceland 4-2 in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday.
Güler played for 89 minutes and scored the game-winning goal in the 88th minute, keeping Turkey in first place in their group with 10 points from four games.
Overall, Güler played well. He took six shots, including the game-winning one from close range after Iceland’s defense lost the ball.
Additionally, the Real Madrid player made two dribbles, had 70 touches, and was fouled once. As for distribution, Guler tried 46 passes and completed 91.3% correctly. He also hit three out of three long balls well, and he and Kenan Yildiz were the driving forces behind everything Turkey did as we advanced.
He wasn’t asked to do much on defense because he was so active in the attack, but he did block a shot and keep good track of the ball.
Real Madrid is glad that Güler made it through the international break without any health problems.
