William Saliba, the centre back for Arsenal, is reportedly being targeted by Real Madrid, but the Gunners won’t let him go.
Under Mikel Arteta, the French international has emerged as one of the Premier League’s top defenders and has been a key component of Arsenal’s success.
It’s no secret that Real Madrid wants to sign a top-tier centre back in 2025, and Saliba and Cristian Romero of Tottenham are on their short list.
Saliba is reportedly the object of Carlo Ancelotti’s team’s “concrete interest,” but Arsenal is unwilling to part with him “for any price,” according to Football Transfers.
Arsenal is not anticipated to back down, even if Real Madrid has stated that they “would be willing to offer a player to sweeten the deal and Rodrygo has been suggested as a potential option.”
Even though Saliba only signed new terms last year, Arsenal plans to “sit down” with him in the upcoming months in an effort to lock him down to a lucrative new contract.
Saliba is still totally dedicated to Arsenal, and his only goal for this season is to bring championship hardware to the Emirates.
