Real Madrid responded to the situation in an intriguing way.
After seemingly kneeing an opponent in the worst position imaginable, Real Madrid player Endrick avoided receiving a red card, much to the delight of his fans.
Since coming in the summer, the wonderkid has had a significant influence.

On his Champions League debut against Stuttgart, he scored a rocket to become the youngest Real Madrid player to score in the competition.
Days later, despite the majority of the collision occurring before he reached the area, he won a contentious penalty against Espanyol in the final minute, collapsing in the corner of the box.
Fans are in disbelief once more as Endrick escaped a red card during Real Madrid’s victory over Alaves.
At the time of the incident, Carlo Ancelotti’s team was leading 3-0 and on the attack.
Anticipating a cross, Endrick started to surge into the box and collided with Santiago Mourino, the Alaves defender.
The Brazilian was given a yellow card after it seemed like he kicked out his left leg to make contact with Mourino’s crotch.
One comment, though, is what supporters feel should have accompanied his dismissal: “That should’ve been a straight red, not just a yellow.”
One more person said, “Clearly a violent act.”
And a third wrote: “I watched it and was shocked, that’s a straight red.”
Alaves manager Garcia Plaza fumed over the decision after the match, with his side pulling back two goals in a 3-2 defeat.

He said: “It’s a clear red, nobody can say it wasn’t. If the referee didn’t see it, that’s what the VAR is for.
“Maybe they got more yellows than they should have, but for Endrick, it’s a red.”
Real Madrid will reportedly speak to Endrick about his behaviour to avoid a repeat of the incident in the future.
