On Tuesday, another close game at the Santiago Bernabeu saw Real Madrid beat Alaves 1-0, giving them their fifth straight win. The away team scored twice late in the game to make it exciting. Things might have been even more tense if Endrick Felipe had been sent off right before the goals.
In the 83rd minute, Endrick got a yellow card from referee Alejandro Muniz Ruiz for what looked like a kickout at Santiago Mourino of Alaves. People who came say it should have been red, but only a warning was given.
After the game, Alaves head coach Luis Garcia Plaza talked about what happened and said he couldn’t believe there wasn’t a red card.
“Endrick should have been sent off; it was a clear red card.” No one can say that Endrick didn’t see a red. He should have been kicked out. The last ten minutes should have been played with ten men.
It was probably good for Endrick that VAR didn’t bring it up. Real Madrid won’t be too upset about it because they got the three points even though it was harder than it should have been.
