Former Man Utd star Jesse Lingard brutally mocked by K League rivals as opponents mimic forgotten Man Utd player’s celebration after late win

A K League competitor attacked JESSE LINGARD with vicious trolling, making fun of his celebration.

The 31-year-old Lingard gave FC Seoul an equaliser in their game against Daejeon Hana Citizen.

With four goals in his previous nine league games, the former Manchester United player has been on the rise for his team lately.

Prior to the most recent game on Saturday, his club had won each time a goal from Lingard had been scored.

And shortly after half-time, he may have thought history would repeat itself when he cleverly finished into the bottom left corner from just inside the area.

Lingard, who always knows how to make a celebration unforgettable, performed yet another incredible act in front of the home crowd.

It happened when Lingard pledged to execute the dance, dubbed the “dooly” and inspired by a cartoon character, during an appearance on a chat program.

But Hyeon-ug Kim’s late goal gave the visiting team the last laugh.

Subsequently, the 29-year-old made fun of Lingard by performing a rendition of the sentimental dance routine.

One fan commented, “Didn’t know the Koreans had this amount of s***house,” as other fans expressed their shock at the decision.

Due to their position in the top half of the standings, FC Seoul remains in the championship bracket after finishing in fifth place.

Similar to the Scottish Premiership, the K League divides its teams into championship and relegation rounds.

After Nottingham Forest declined to extend Lingard’s one-year contract in the summer of 2023, the player left without a club and travelled to South Korea in February of this year.

The former England international got off to a sluggish start in Asia and eventually needed surgery for a knee problem.

He departed Manchester United in 2022 and signed with Forest on a free transfer.

After progressing through the Red Devils academy system, Lingard earned 232 appearances for the first squad.
