Ligue 1 gave Mason Greenwood a unique emblem to wear.
Since joining Marseille in the summer, the former Manchester United player has had a rapid start to his career.
The French team paid approximately £30 million for his signing, and as part of the agreement, the Red Devils included a 50% sell-on clause.
Prior to the international break, Greenwood scored a brace against Toulouse in a 3-1 victory, one of his five goals in his first four games.
Because of his achievement, he received a special badge that no other Ligue 1 player was allowed to wear for Marseille’s match against Nice on Saturday.
Greenwood, 22, won the top scorer award for the gameweek in which he scored the most goals.
The S1 emblem, which is the white and gold logo, was unveiled at the beginning of the season.
But, Greenwood was unable to capitalise on the moment as Marseille won 2-0 as he drew a blank for the first time this season.
Additionally, despite his stellar start to the season, Lee Carsley, the temporary England manager, has ruled him out of rejoining the Three Lions team.
Mason wasn’t a player that we can regard as honest, he stated.
“I’m aware of how he’s doing but he wasn’t under consideration.”
Greenwood’s international registration as a forward is now being transferred, thus he could decide to become a Jamaican instead.
