The best-scoring player for Turkey in their UEFA Nations League match against Wales ended in a 0-0 draw. That player was Arda Güler, who plays for Real Madrid.
Wales had most of the ball during the game, which reduced Turkey’s chances, but Güler was still by far their most dangerous and important player.
After feeling pain in his leg, he was taken off in the 89th minute. No one knows if it’s a deep wound or just a knock.
Wales won the whole game, but Güler had 39 touches, one successful dribble, one shot, and two key passes. On defense, he had to track back a lot and cover even more ground after Yilmaz was sent off in the second half. At the end of the game, he had two stops and played good defense.
In a game where Turkey was always second best, no team could score. Güler, however, was their bright spot, as he finished off another great performance by the national team.
It’s still not clear if Güler will play against Iceland on Monday.
