Journalist Florian Plettenberg confirmed that the Manuel Ugarte deal has been completed.
According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, Manchester United could announce their fifth summer signing today (August 30).
The Red Devils have already signed Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui this summer, and Manuel Ugarte is set to become the next signing to arrive at Old Trafford.
Ugarte is about to debut for Man Utd.
Plettenberg claims that Ugarte has completed his mandatory medical and Man United plan to announce his arrival today. Ugarte is likely to make his Man Utd debut this weekend.
After pushing Scott McTominay to Napoli, Man United immediately negotiated to buy Ugarte as PSG wanted.
Man Utd had intended to ask for Ugarte on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season. However, when Napoli entered the game and decided to pay 30 million euros for McTominay, Man Utd immediately agreed. They will use this money to recruit Ugarte from PSG .
In the end, Man Utd closed the deal at 50 million euros, plus 10 million euros in performance-based bonuses.
