Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Real Valladolid marked Endrick’s Real Madrid debut.
Endrick, a superstar from Brazil, scored in Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Real Valladolid in his dream Real Madrid debut.
The 18-year-old signed a contract with Los Blancos this summer following a December 2022 agreement with Palmeiras.
He agreed to a six-year contract with the 15-time European winners and seemed to be destined for a long career as a global superstar.
He did not play in last week’s 1-1 tie with RCD Mallorca and was not utilised as a substitute in the UEFA Super Cup victory against Atalanta.
However, Endrick made the most of his substitutional appearance against Valladolid at the Santiago Bernabeu.
In the 96th minute, the Brazil international scored a spectacular solo goal to increase the lead to 3-0, blasting the ball home at the near post with his weaker right foot.
At the age of 18 years and 35 days, Endrick became Real Madrid’s youngest foreign goal scorer in La Liga and was ecstatic to find the net.
With their first victory of the new domestic season, the champions also had goals from Federico Valverde and Brahim Diaz.
Given how well-stocked Real is with attackers, many were left wondering whether Endrick would struggle to get playing time and need to be sent on loan when Kylian Mbappe arrived.
However, Carlo Ancelotti emphasised that Endrick will receive minutes before he opened his account.
According to Ancelotti, “He’s doing very well, like the others,” during a press conference.
“He’s adjusting quite nicely. Given the competition on this club, he possesses remarkable qualities and will receive the minutes he is due.”
