In a social media post, Real Madrid youngster Nico Paz said goodbye to the club and its fans before he moved to Como 1907.
Nico is 19 years old and came up through Real Madrid’s La Fabrica school. He is seen as one of the best prospects to come through in recent years.
Nico, however, chose to continue his career elsewhere because there wasn’t a clear way to join the team. Como, a newly promoted Serie A team, bought him for about โฌ6 million.
The Argentine star has already sent an emotional message on social media to his old club and fans, saying goodbye. An official announcement from the club has not been made yet.
“Hello Madrid fans, Now that I’ve worn this shirt for eight years, it’s time to leave this great club, he began.
Nico then wrote to thank Real Madrid and everyone who had helped him during his time at the club:
First, I want to thank Real Madrid for always believing in me and making my dream come true by letting me play with the first team and score my first Champions League goal, which I will remember for the rest of my life.
“I’d also like to thank all of my teammates, coaches, physical trainers, physiotherapists, doctors, kitmen, and everyone who works at the club. They have helped me become the person I am today and we have shared many wonderful times.”
In the end, Nico thanked the Madridistas for their love and support and said that he hoped they could get back together someday.
Last but not least, I’d like to thank all the Madridistas for their love and support during this time. A group of fans have also made this happen. I hope we can be together again someday. “See you soon, Madrid fans!”
This was Nico’s first game for Real Madrid. He scored in a Champions League game against Napoli.
Because he has so much potential, Real Madrid has kept the chance to buy him back as well as a sell-on clause for the future.
